7.45am this morning and I stumble bleary eyed off the sleeper from London at Aviemore and think... how did I not notice hitting the kerb when I parked on Sunday night??? But hang on... I am sure it was facing the other way when I left it....

A tell tale glass of bourbon and coke left just out of the picture....

Kew Gardens, London

Finally I am able to visit the famous Kew Gardens in London. Not surprisingly I managed to drain the entire camera battery in one day which I have never done before. What incredible structures and patterns nature invents... inspiring plants and flowers I have never seen before, plus it was lovely to spot a few old antipodean friends in the Temperate House... kangaroo paw, wattle, acacia, banksia and co.

Speyside Way

This weekends 8km walk along the Speyside Way north to the coast at Spey Bay.... big blue kies and mountains of pebbles. Every time I go the river mouth is vastly different as the strength of the Spey is constantly shifting the shingle. A veggie haggis toastie at Cafe Wild for lunch and then a 8km limp home again. It was easy to take lots of pics to take my mind off my blisters as there is so much variety in the plants and scenery along the way.
